GAO Instruments Releases Optical Fiber Identifier with Built-In LEDs

GAO Instruments has launched a new portable optical fiber identifier with built-in LEDs. The A0640004 fiber identifier is suitable for use in the maintenance and construction of CATV and optical fiber communication systems.

A0640004 Portable Optical Fiber Identifier

The optical fiber identifier identifies three signal frequencies including 2 kHz, 1 kHz and 270 Hz. It provides increased precision in detection and offers ease of operation. By inserting the optical fiber into the adapter head the optical fiber identifier identifies the fiber.

The A0640004 identifier offers a detecting sensitivity of as low as -55 dBm and a wavelength range of 800-1700 nm for identification. It can identify H0.9/H2.5/H3.0 tail fiber and H0.25 bare fiber. The optical fiber identifier functions continuously for a minimum of 8h on a full charge. In addition, it includes LEDs for optical signal intensity, displays of the optical transmission direction, and low power indication.
