Research and Markets has published a new book from John Wiley and Sons, titled ‘Fiber Optic Sensors: An Introduction for Engineers and Scientists, 2nd Edition’. The book offers a detailed study of the fiber optic sensors for scientists and engineers.
The book is useful for various academic departments such as bioengineering, aerospace engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and physics. It covers a complete chapter on fiber optic sensors for applications in oil field, which is one of the major market uses of the fiber optic sensor technology. In addition, the book covers a solutions manual, applications and problems for instructors.
The book features the basic components and optical theories with a new chapter on upgrades of the modulators, detectors, light sources and optical fiber as well as sensor concepts. In addition, a new chapter will be added on Brillouin distributed sensing and fiber grating sensors.
