GAO Instruments Releases A0630008 Visible Fault Locator with Red Laser Source

GAO Instruments has rolled out a new fault locator with a visible red laser source. The A0630008 locator is ideal for use with multi-mode and single mode fibers as well as for the maintenance and installation of optical fibers.

A0630008 Visible Fault Locator

The handheld visible fault locator has automatic power off feature to save energy and features a low voltage warning function. The laser source of the fault locator determines fiber faults in couplers, connectors, enclosures, patch panels and fiber jumpers. In addition, it supports 2 Hz and CW alternative optical output modes as well as SC, ST and FC adaptors.

The A0630008 fault locator utilizes visible light to display the fiber fault location precisely from an unaligned mechanical splice, connector, problem coupler, break or macro bend point. In addition, it resolves the dead zone limitations found in an OTDR.
