Perkin Elmer Launches FT-IR Spectrometer for Analytical Measurements

Perkin Elmer has released a new infrared (FT-IR) spectrometer that is ideal for performing quick analytical measurements. The Spectrum Two spectrometer can also be used for concentration determination, material qualification or unknown substance identification.

Other applications of the spectrometer include polymer and environmental analysis, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, lubricant and fuel analysis and academic laboratories. It requires minimum maintenance and allows non-expert to perform high-speed FT-IR analysis even in non-laboratory settings.

The Spectrum Two uses a touch-screen technology that offers ease of operation, streamlines the analysis operations and provides faster results. The features and software of the spectrometer provide repeatability and consistency. In addition, a humidity shield offers protection from environmental effects.

Perkin Elmer has also developed systems using Spectrum Touch user interface for quality control analysis.
