Opto Diode Introduces OD-624L High-Output Red LED for Medical Applications

Manufacturer of IR and visible LEDs, Opto Diode has introduced a new high-output LED that offers a total power output in the range of 80-170 mW. The OD-624L high-output red LED delivers a typical dominant emission wavelength of 624 nm.

The LED provides a narrow beam angle that is ideal for fluorescence in forensic, scientific testing instruments, and medical applications. It exhibits 50% spectral bandwidth of 40 nm with a typical peak emission wavelength of 635 nm, under test conditions of IF at 350 mA.

The high-output red LED comes in a hermetically sealed TO-5 can, featuring three leads. It exhibits 10 V reverse voltage at 500 mA continuous forward current over absolute maximum ratings of 25ºC. In addition, the 260ºC lead soldering temperature makes the LED easy to install into current or new lighting solutions.
