Producer of thin-film and optical coatings, Precision Glass & Optics proclaimed that the company has developed customized narrow-cone-angle optical filters for PRP Optoelectronics’ avionics displays.
PRP Optoelectronics produces LED-based displays and custom microelectronics and optoelectronic modules for military, thermal imaging, avionics, optical systems, automotive, printing and telecommunications.
The unique thin-film filters, developed by Precision Glass & Optics, are incorporated into PRP’s avionics display systems to alter the viewing angle and avoid unnecessary stray light that could disturb the cockpit crew and pilots. The angle requirements and operational wavelengths of the new optical coatings are tailored to enhance the sensitivity to nighttime illumination. The accurate thin film filters enable the pilot to easily read the air velocity indicator display and the altimeter under all kind of lighting environment.
Precision Glass & Optics accommodates a wide range of glass inventory to offer fast turnaround on numerous thin-film and glass-coated optical materials that range from regular to complex shapes and kinds of accurate optical prisms.
