Israel Aerospace Industries-Compact Laser Designator for Naval Applications

Israel Aerospace Industries has introduced its latest Laser Designator called the DART 45, a lightweight Rangefinder and Laser Designator for Navy, Air force and military applications.

The compact Range Finder and Laser Designator module can be integrated easily into compact payloads and Electro-Optical systems.

The DART45 provides an eye-safe rangefinding at a wavelength of 1.57 µm and offers a low divergence Laser Designator at a wavelength of 1.06 µm. The DART45 design is based on the dual wavelength diode-pumped sophisticated Nd:YAG laser, which is suitable for all NATO and US laser-guided weapons. The laser designator offers 45-mJ and features a conductive cooling system.

The module’s numerous units have been incorporated into Ground Targeting and Designating System (GTADS) of IAI/TAMAM as well as into MiniPOP-D Electro-Optical naval payloads for an export client.

Innovative features of the DART45 makes it suitable for 6" to 8" EO targeting payloads for ground and static vehicle sights, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and for  selecting handheld systems.
