HOYA ConBio Rolls Out RevLite Q-Switched Nd:YAG Laser

Manufacturer of laser solutions, HOYA ConBio has announced the release of a new RevLite Q-Switched Nd:YAG laser at the 69th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology, in New Orleans.

The laser includes additional internal upgrades and a Smart Infinite (SI) handpiece to offer improved performance, accuracy and power.

Practitioners can adjust the spot size in the increments of 0.1 mm and maintain increased fluence by using the SI handpiece. The handpiece offers a spot size range of 2.0-8.5 mm and 1.2-6.0 mm in the 1064 and 532 wavelengths, respectively. The micro-adjustments allow expanding the adaptability of the PhotoAcoustic Technology Pulse (PTP) mode, harnessing a maximum of 60% more power.

The SI handpiece communicates with the RevLite laser when a spot size is adjusted, which reduces the risk of user error and avoids the necessity of manual settings on the laser. In addition, it reduces the potential of PIH or hypo-pigmentation for treatment of dermal pigments and tattoos on skin.
