Intel Completes 400 kW Solar Panel Project in Hillsboro

Intel has installed two 400 kW solar panels at two Hillsboro campuses, one at the Ronler Acres campus and the other at the Jones Farm campus. The recently energized solar systems comprise raised solar support designs.

The new solar installations augment a 100 kW solar power project mounted on the roof of a building in Jones Farm Campus. In addition, the installations supplement six solar installations that were completed recently.

Solar City installed Evergreen Solar’s solar panels that were utilized in Oregon. The panels were manufactured at Devens, Massachusetts-based production facility of Evergreen. In addition, the installation comprises String Ribbon solar panels that provide environmental credentials, economical installation and increased performance.

The Director for Global Utilities and Infrastructure at Intel, Marty Sedler stated that the company is excited about the solar project. Sedler added that the solar installations would supplement the operations at the other global sites of the company.
