IMRA America, developer of fiber laser solutions, has introduced a new fiber laser device that is an ideal alternative for Ti:sapphire lasers.
The Femtolite FX-100i device is suitable for second-harmonic imaging, stereolithography, multiphoton fluorescence microscopy, spectroscopy, and terahertz wave generation.
The fiber laser device weighs 1.4 kg and generates a power of more than 100 mW at a wavelength of 805 nm. The unit features sub-120 fs pulses with a pulse energy of 1.6 nJ and a repetition rate of 75 MHz. It has a warm-up time of less than 15 min and an operating temperature between 20°C and 30 °C. The device, measuring 14×10×8 cm, has a power stability of less than 3% for over 1 h.
The Femtolite FX-100i laser device complies with CE specifications and can be operated remotely through an RS-232 interface or directly through front panel controls. The unit’s design makes sure that no optical tweaking, alignment or adjustment is needed. The laser head, with a similar footprint as the Femtolite Ultra femtosecond fiber lasers, is ideal for system integration.
