Nikon Instruments has rolled out a new scanning microscope that is ideal mid and entry-level confocal imaging.
The Confocal Laser Point Scanning Microscope is based on the company’s optical technology and offers enhanced speed and accuracy. The C2 microscope incorporates the 3.2 version of NIS-Elements C software and offers a versatile and easy-to-use imaging software platform.
The laser microscope features three PMTs that are ideal for multi-channel imaging purposes. The flexible design of the microscope provides a convenient upgrade to the 32 channel PMT arrays for spectral identification. The device has the ability to capture and unmix the acquired data at any channel resolution. Its enhancements in electronics and increased pinholes facilitate in increasing the scanning speed and accuracy.
The C2 laser microscope can be combined with Nikon’s physiological, inverted, and upright imaging microscopes. It can also be combined with numerous research systems. The microscope also eradicates the requirement for various software programmes.
The NIS-Elements version 3.2 software supports Nikon series of products and offers customizable protocols and improved multi-camera support. The microscope, when combined with Nikon’s Numerical Aperture CFI series objectives, provides a suitable combination for confocal imaging.
