ZC&R Coatings for Optics, a California-based company specializing in optical components and coatings, has introduced new hydrophobic and hydrophilic optical coatings for various applications.
The optical coatings are suitable for applications such as medical devices, marine displays, outdoor displays, camera windows and outdoor surveillance.
The hydrophobic coatings are available in laminated and coated products for repelling moisture. They are suitable for touch screens and produce a barrier against liquids, dust and dirt.
The hydrophilic coatings minimize distortion through positive interaction with water, allowing uniform spread of condensates across the coated glass surface. They are ideal for outdoor applications or in locations where moisture exists. In addition, the coatings work efficiently in high humid conditions and are both economical and durable.
ZC&R’s hydrophilic coatings can be used on glass substrates for use in optics with wavelengths ranging between 350 to 2700 nm. Furthermore, the coatings comply with MIL-C-675C standards for severe abrasion.
