Casix Uses New Coating Processes to Enhance High Power Optic Lasers

Developer of precision optical solutions, Casix has added a new Ion Beam Sputtering VEECO coater that allows high threshold damage coating for optical lasers. The company has also added three new Optorun IAD coaters that will support enhanced production of laser units.

The Ion Beam Sputtering VEECO equipment allows Casix to attain high surface quality, high surface reflectivity, and high threshold damage coating over the coating wavelength.

The Optorun IAD coater devices incorporate a large coater chamber and supports enhanced production of laser components such as wedge crystals, windows, beam splitters, Nd:YVO4 crystals, and mirrors. The components are ideally used in lasers solutions in biomedical and health applications.

Casix’ General Manager, Toh Seng Ng stated that the company wanted to offer customers with high-quality processes for precision and quality, in addition to the in-house capability and versatility as required for production.
