The 5203 mini optical light source features very stable output power, convenient operation, and a compact size. The device utilizes an FP-LD emitter and offers wavelengths of 1550 nm and 1310 nm. The maximum spectral width of the optical light source is 10 nm. The unit offers a high-quality solution for optical network field work when it is combined with the 5301 mini optical power meter.

The optical light source, when integrated with the optical power meter, also forms a compact optical loss test kit. It uses three 1.5 V alkaline batteries to function continuously for over 40 hours.
