Cree has unveiled new LED lights that feature higher CRI options, longer lifetime estimates and high flux options.
The XLamp MX-6 LEDs has completed the LM-80 testing that allows swifter time to market for developers designing ENERGY STAR-rated lighting fixtures.
The XLamp MX-6 LEDs provide maximum light output of 100 lm at a frequency of 300 mA in warm white and 122 lm at 300 mA in cool white lighting. The MX-6 LEDs come with a minimum of 80 CRI in warm white lighting for high-voltage and standard configurations. The MX-6 LEDs, based on LM-80 extrapolations, can offer a lifetime of over 150,000 hours.
Cree’s Director of Marketing, Paul Thieken stated that the MX-6 LEDs have extended lifetime, uniform light output and high efficiency. Thieken added that the LEDs are suitable for manufacturers pursuing indoor LED fixtures that meet ENERGY STAR ratings.
