Bright Solutions Rolls Out Wedge HF DPSS Laser for Micromachining Applications

Developer of solid-state laser solutions, Bright Solutions has launched a compact variant of the Wedge HF Q-switched Diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) laser. The Wedge HF laser is distributed by RPMC Lasers in North America.

The OEM configuration offers a pulse energy of 180 uJ at 1064 nm with repetition rate potentials from 10 to 1000 kHz and pulse widths that are as short as 700 ps.

The Wedge HF DPSS laser delivers beam quality with 1.1 M². It produces an average power of 3 W at 20 kHz in the IR range. The laser also generates 4 W at 100 kHz with THG conversion of 30% and SHG conversion of 50%. Bright Solutions offers the laser at wavelengths of 1.5 µm, 532 nm, and 355 nm.

The laser is cooled using a fan-forced air and the optical head of the laser measures 7.5 x 3.5 x 2.8”. The Wedge HF laser is ideal for various applications such as specialty scribing/materials processing, OPO pumping, micromachining, and ablation of thin films.
