Toptica Photonics Unveils Ultrafast Fiber Laser System for Pump-Probe Experiments

Toptica Photonics has unveiled an ultra compressed pulse (UCP) model of the FemtoFiber pro laser series.

FemtoFiber pro Laser

The UCP system offers a supercontinuum between 980 to 1400nm and an output power of over 30 mW. It has pulse durations below 25 fs and is suitable for fs-spectroscopy, pump-probe experiments and biophotonics.

Toptica has introduced the FemtoFiber pro UCP model after the successful launch of the FemtoFiber pro SCIR, NIR and IR models in 2009. The system is based on a corepumped fiber amplifier and saturable absorber mirror mode-locking technology. The master oscillator power amplifier platform is based on the polarization-maintaining fibers. The saturable absorber mirror technology assures mode-locking and self-starting under all kinds of lab conditions.

The UCP FemtoFiber pro laser incorporates two prism compressors. The first compressor optimizes the supercontinuum created by a nonlinear fiber, while the second compressor optimizes the pulse duration. The repetition rate of the device is 80 MHz. A maximum of three fiber coupled seed ports convert each FemtoFiber pro model into a laser solution for multi-beam experiments.
