Machine vision technology company, DALSA has rolled out a new CMOS line scan camera for inspection of printed circuit boards and large flat-panel displays. The Piranha3 16k camera is suitable for high throughput and document scanning applications.
The camera offers a resolution of 16k with a pixel size of 3.5 µm, and a line rate of 70 kHz for high-speed throughput of 1146 Mpixels/s. The CMOS technology offers on-chip Correlated Double Sampling (CDS) and Analog to Digital Conversion (ADC) for the Piranha3 16k camera.
Integrated in a small form factor of 150 x 80 x 77 mm, the CMOS line scan camera offers high speed, accuracy, and dynamic range, while generating minimal noise. The camera utilizes DALSA’s HSLink machine vision connectivity interface to provide a full bandwidth. The HSLink uses the main features of Camera Link to include new functionalities, and offers a scalable bandwidth at 300 megabyte per second steps.
