Aremco Products has launched a new high temperature green-top coating for glare reduction in halogen lamps utilized in the fire safety, stadium, aircraft, dental and automotive industries.
The Quartz-Coat 845-Green is an opaque, green-pigmented formulation, bonding quartz halogen lamps and glass for applications at a temperature of 1500°F.
The green formulation is an inorganic, odorless, water-based system that allows the coating in absorbing and uniformly diffusing light at high temperatures. The green-top coating solidifies content by 60.0% volume, and has a viscosity ranging from 500 to 1000 cP. The high temperature coating comes in gallon, quart, and pint containers.
The Quartz-Coat 845-Green is conveniently applied using traditional pneumatic spray equipment or by dipping, while the standard dry film thickness is below 1.0 mils. By ramping the high temperature coating to 900-1000°F for duration of 5 min, curing is attained quickly in high-speed production systems. The finish obtained after curing is moisture resistant and rigid. In addition, the finish will not experience outgassing at high temperatures.
