Manufacturer of laser diode products, Power Technology has rolled out a new PNF laser module for machine vision applications such as illumination, fluorescence, web inspection, dimensional scanning, and 3D profiling and imaging. The PNF module can function as a drop-in replacement for majority of current machine vision lasers.
Power Technology’s Vice President of Sales and Engineering, Walter Burgess stated that the PNF structured light laser is designed to fulfill the requirements of machine vision applications. He informed that the laser delivers an output power of 0.1 to 200 mW with a wavelength range from 375 to 2,330 nm. In addition, the laser module features a Variable Focus Technology, uniform intensity line generators, improved optical power stability, better wavelength stability, and CW, analog or digital modulation of about 100 MHz, said Burgess.
The Sales Engineer at Power Technology, James Jackson remarked that the PNF laser’s Variable Focus Technology enables users to adjust the module’s focus and re-tune the line generator for efficient performance. He continued that the laser exhibits fast modulation speeds and high output power.
