Ibsen Photonics, a company specializing in transmission gratings, has unveiled a new interrogation monitor called the I-MON 850 for Fiber Bragg Grating sensor applications within the wavelength range of 850 nm.
The interrogation monitor is an addition to the broad product line of interrogation monitors in the wavelength range of 1310-1550 nm. The I-MON 850 features the same compact, athermal, and sturdy design of the other Ibsen I-MON solutions.
Ibsen Photonics’ Vice President of the Module Business Unit, Bjarke Rose stated that there is growing interest for the fiber sensing at the wavelength of 850 nm. Rose added that the company is now capable of facilitating sensing systems at the 850 nm wavelength range.
Ibsen Photonics’ Chief Executive Officer, Torben Jacobsen remarked that the combined 850 nm wavelength range and 15 kHz line scan speed shows the company’s specialization in the interrogation monitor market.
