Basler, manufacturer of digital cameras, has unveiled scan camera variants with a GigE interface. The all-aviator area cameras integrate the GigE technology, speed, and improved image quality in a suitable manner.
The Basler aviator GigE camera models come in resolutions of 4, 2, and 1 megapixel in color or monochrome. The GigE interface provides dependable data transport at more than 100 frames per second at a resolution of 1 megapixel over maximum distances of 100 m.
The aviator cameras utilize Kodak's newest CCD sensor generation with a four-tap readout technology. The CCD sensors are four times faster when compared to the standard CCD sensors. The Kodak sensor enables the Basler aviator camera to provide enhanced homogeneous imaging and tap balancing results.
The cameras have various features such as a global shutter and a progressive readout technology. They also have a compact housing that measures 62 x 62 x 57 mm. They are ideal for various applications such as intelligent traffic systems, medical imaging, electronics and semiconductor inspection, and factory automation.
