Analog Modules has introduced the new 742DP Laser Spot Tracker for platform and missile tracker applications. The laser spot tracker has five channel noise detectors that configure the lowest threshold levels to attain long acquisition ranges for various background spot and light positions.
The laser spot tracker includes an integrated front-end electronics and a hermetically sealed, temperature-controlled detector that are positioned on a SMT board. Special circuits in the 742DP oppose sunlight blinding in single or all quadrants.
The custom-designed N-type detectors deliver a better performance at a wavelength of 1.06 µm. The device features a second printed circuit board that comprises digital and analog processing circuits. The channels of the laser spot tracker are digitized using a high-speed A-D converter.
In addition, the laser spot tracker has a power management functionality to minimize power consumption, and an adaptive threshold control that enables maximum signal-to-noise operation.
