Provider of digital imaging solutions, illunis has unveiled a new, advanced camera that is based on Eastman Kodak’s KAI-29050 sensor. The RMV 29 Mega Pixel camera provides enhanced quality and performance at maximum frame rates of 4.8 fps.
The camera functions in a temperature range of -40ºC to +85ºC and utilizes industrial components. The diverse temperature range enables the camera to function in adverse environments such as industrial, aerial, and military market applications.
The RMV-29M camera features sophisticated CCD read-out control; 4,2, or 1 tap operation; full 14-bit ADC; blooming suppression of greater than 300x; and a low smear of -100 dB. The camera’s on-screen tools enable analyzing of text overlay and line/columns.
The KAI-29050 image sensor is a 5.5 micron sensor that is available in a 35 mm optical format. The RMV camera series includes noise performance enhancements, which reduces noise and offers a substantial improvement in camera sensitivity. Reduced noise performance is achieved using sophisticated technology and incorporating illunis’ expertise in camera design.
