3LCD Introduces 3LCD Projectors with Reflective HTPS Chip

3LCD, a company specializing in projection technology, has announced that new 3LCD projectors with reflective high-temperature polysilicon (HTPS) liquid crystal chip will soon be introduced into the worldwide market. The reflective chip offers enhanced contrast ratios and supports full HD content with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels.

The reflective HTPS chip offers high-contrast ratios for bright white and deep black colors. In addition, it offers high color light output that makes it suitable for home theaters. The reproduction of deep blacks and natural colors is important for optimal viewing experience.

The reflective HTPS chip reproduces natural-looking and bright images; offers contrast ratios of 100,000:1 or greater and produces rich gradations. A reflective electrode is used in the place of a transparent electrode to design the reflective chip. The technology, which allowed high-contrast ratios in the HTPS chip, has been enhanced in the latest HTPS chip.

The 3LCD projectors utilize a 3-chip optical engine to produce bright color and provide a high color and white light output. The projectors are not affected by the color break-up or the rainbow effect. In addition, the devices do not depend on a spinning color wheel to generate color.
