Bern Optics Rolls Out New Submillimeter Optical Mirrors

Bern Optics has introduced new submillimeter optical mirrors that measure 0.20 mm in diameter. The optical mirrors can be polished, ground and custom engineered in various shapes to micron acceptances.

Optical Mirror

The submillimeter optical mirrors are made from various substrate materials. They can be generated as second or first surface reflectors, with plano or curved surfaces. Hybrid, metallic and dielectric coatings can be used on all optical mirrors to suit specific needs. The optical mirrors are suitable for using in analytical instrumentation, endoscopic and minimally invasive surgical instruments.

Bern Optics, founded in 1989 by Bernd Gottschalk, specializes in transforming raw glass into optical components. The company also specializes in micro-optics production and fabrication.
