ALT Introduces New Range of Laser Welded Assemblies

Advanced Laser Technologies (ALT) has rolled out a new range of laser welded assemblies that are custom made for cutting and drilling metals. The laser assemblies do not need any mechanical secondary operations, and are also cleaner when compared to the tungsten inert gas (TIG) welded assemblies.

Laser welded assemblies

The laser welded assemblies offer distortion-free welding, drilling and cutting and do not use fillers or heat affected zones. They are developed by utilizing CO2 or Nd:YAG lasers. The assemblies can be manufactured from a number of materials such as nickel-base alloys, Inconel, and stainless steels.

The assemblies, depending on the material, can weld, cut and drill metals of up to 0.300”. They can weld depths of up to 0.030” and can drill holes that are as small as 0.005”.

ALT is approved by GE and NADCAP for airflow, laser cutting and drilling, and is an AS9100:2004 REV. B. and ISO 9001:2000 certified company.
