Optical Gaging Products (OGP), provider of laser measurement systems, has rolled out a new SmartScope Apex Micro measurement system that features an advanced digital camera and a digital zoom.
Apex Micro Measurement System
The Apex Micro precision dimensional measurement system features a TTL laser for accurate and comprehensive micro-measuring purposes. It also features an OGP Feather Probe micro-probe that has a 0.005" stylus. An HPR rotary indexer mounted at a 33° angle measures the fuel injector nozzles with holes measuring 0.009" in diameter.
The Apex Micro measurement system, like the other SmartScope systems, is suitable for measuring videos. The digital zoom in the system provides multiple magnifications. In addition, a diverse series of distance optical objectives are provided. The Apex Micro features numerous system illumination sources, including the green LED back light, coaxial white surface light and the white LED SmartRing light.
The Apex Micro system is multisensor-ready and can be used with the Rainbow Probe scanning sensor for surface contouring purposes. It can also be used with the Feather Probe micro-probe sensor, which obtains data points with milligrams of probing pressure.
