The WPT procedure is a laser periodontal disease treatment that enables the doctor, who uses the Lares Powerlase AT dual wavelength laser, to treat periodontal disease and make best conditions for healing. When both Er:YAG and Nd:YAG wavelengths are used in a periodontal treatment protocol, it makes the optimal utilization of the wavelength’s laser/tissue interaction qualities.
The video animation demonstrates the key stages in the WPT protocol, including utilization of Er:YAG laser energy for calculus removal from the root surface, and utilization of Nd:YAG laser energy for treating the infected epithelial lining of the pocket.
