Provider of fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) devices for homes and businesses, Enablence Technologies will roll out new component products at the European Conference and Exhibition on Optical Communication event, to be held in Italy from September 19 to 23.
The conference offers systems developers the affordability and versatility required to stay ahead of the increasing demand for bandwidth from network operators.
Enablence will unveil the APD32T-XS Avalanche Photodiode (APD), and the iMS 0808 Multicast Switch, at the conference. The APD32T-XS APD provides high performance, and it is maximized for 10G PON and 10 Gb/s SONET/SDH applications. It includes a 32 µm optical aperture, and a dual pad layout. A major feature of the APD is the low excess noise that allows -27 dBm receiver sensitivities for 10 Gb/s signals, when utilized with a TIA. The topside illuminated APD32T-XS APD features operating bias of 25 V, which is lesser than other APDs.
The 8x8 iMS 0808 multicast switch provides a cost-efficient and distinct solution to develop ROADM nodes with contentionless, colorless, and directionless features. These features offer network operators with remote bandwidth management and optimum versatility for network planning, to assure high quality service reliability, and to decrease operating costs.
The 0808 multicast switch model has eight output and eight input ports, designed for ROADMs with a maximum of eight degrees. These next generation ROADMs are anticipated to be generally used on 100G and 40G networks. The signal to any input port can be send to any, or a combination of output ports. A standard I2C or RS232 interface can be used for controlling the switch module routing. The 0808 model is available in both dual and single-switch model versions.
