Laser Technology has launched the new LaserGIS software designed for ArcPad platform. The LaserGIS software, termed as ‘an integration between lasers and GIS,’ improves the laser measurement capabilities, and optimizes the field work productivity of the ArcPad.
The LaserGIS enables users to record the laser offset data easily, by utilizing the ArcPad map’s coordinates, or with any GPS. The upgraded software includes a Quick Traverse routine that enables users to perform mapping in a large polygon. After mapping is completed, user will be able to calculate the area within the boundary, and perimeter distance, by finding the closure’s percent error on the traverse.
The LaserGIS enables quick recording and collecting of attribute data in a GIS. The software imports the height and other measurements automatically into data attribute forms, from the laser. Users can also take the help of the trace file that logs the raw data automatically, for each laser shot. The LaserGIS also offers quick connectivity to a LTI laser, and quick configuration options.
