Developer of IP+Optical networking systems, Vello Systems, has deployed a advanced 10 G optical fiber network for Hudson Fiber Network. Hudson Fiber Network provides IP, data and Ethernet services across the New York metro region.
The new fiber optic network is constructed by using Vello’s CX Family platforms to offer reliable and low-latency networking solution for various SLA-based services.
The network uses Vello’s sophisticated optical modulation techniques that enable the transmission of four 10 G signals in one ITUd channel and offer a flawless upgrade to 100 and 4 G transmissions. The optical network has set up two New York Fast Path fiber routes by utilizing the CX Family 10 G devices. The fiber routes, when integrated with Hudson’s XChange Connect Metro Ethernet system, link financial service clients to 1400 Federal Boulevard in New Jersey.
Vello Systems deployed the fiber optic network infrastructure within 10 days. Hudson Fiber Network optimized the optical network via the Linux operating system, VellOS. The Forward Error Correction feature can be disabled or configured through the VellOS software to optimize latency networking solution for metro applications.
The Chief Executive Officer of Hudson Fiber Network, Keith Muller stated that Vello’s products play a crucial role in their network infrastructure and assure high performance and quality for their customers.
