New Cool-Cut CO2 Laser Lenses from Laser Research Optics

Laser Research Optics has launched a new series of Cool-Cut CO2 laser lenses that offer focal length stability and thermal damage protection. The low absorption laser lens runs cooler compared to traditional lenses.

CO2 Laser Lenses

The patented coating of the Cool-Cut lens absorbs less than 0.15% of laser energy, offers focal length stability for better quality cuts, and allows a cooler operation. The CO2 laser lenses are available in a thickness range of 0.236'' to 0.380'' with 1'' to 2'' diameter sizes and 1'' to 25'' focal lengths in 0.5'' increments.

The CO2 laser lens has greater than 99.0% transmission at 10.6 µm and has a 40-20 scratch-dig surface quality. Unlike the A/R coated lenses, the CO2 laser lenses last longer.
