New Xerox DocuMate 3460 Color Scanner for Office Applications

Xerox has introduced a new Xerox DocuMate 3460 color sheetfed scanner that is specifically designed to scan documents and ID cards. The scanner uses an advanced ultrasonic double-feed detection technology and can scan 120 images or 60 pages per minute in a duplex mode.

The Xerox DocuMate 3460 includes a unique front-feed tray that minimizes roller wear and improves the efficiency of plastic card scanning in financial services and medical applications. The ultrasonic double-feed detection technology in the Xerox DocuMate 3460 alerts the user when double feeding of the originals arises while scanning. The detection technology allows faster and reliable scanning of different types of papers and also prevents lost images.

The color scanner provides a USB 2.0 interface and a 600 dpi optical resolution. The bundled software package in the Xerox DocuMate 3460 includes the Nuance OmniPage Pro, Nuance PaperPort, Kofax VRS and ISIS and TWAIN certified drivers. The automatic document feeder can handle photos, papers, legal-size documents and business cards, among others.
