GAO Fiber Optics Unveils New 3-Port DWDM for Network Environments

Supplier of fiber optic measurement and test devices, GAO Fiber Optics, has unveiled a new 3-port DWDM (dense wavelength division multiplexer) for telecommunication networking systems.

3-Port DWDM

The 3-port DWDM is developed by using an advanced thin film coating technology. The device is enclosed inside a micro optics package that enables stable performance in adverse settings. The DWDM is specifically developed for wavelength adding or dropping in the telecommunication networking systems.

The 3-port DWDM functions over a 1530.33 to 1560.61 nm wavelength at ±0.005 accuracy. The device has 100 GHz channel spacing and provides an epoxy-free optical path, wide passband, high-channel isolation, and low insertion loss.

The DWDM provides a cost-effective solution for Regional, Metro Core and Metro Access network settings.
