Elec-Tech Chooses Veeco’s MOCVD Systems for LED Facilities

Veeco Instruments, Metrology, LED and solar process equipment manufacturer, has announced that Elec-Tech International has chosen its TurboDisc K465i MOCVD (Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition) systems for its new LED facilities in China. Earlier, Veeco reserved the MOCVD systems from a major purchase order from Elec-Tech Optoelectronic Technology, Elec-Tech’s LED subsidiary.

Elec-Tech’s Chairman, Tony Wang, stated that the company will purchase 130 MOCVD systems to increase the manufacturing capacity of the LED facilities. He added that the Veeco’s MOCVD systems, with a combination of high productivity and reduced ownership cost, will allow the company to achieve significant success in the LED sector.

The General Manager and Executive VP of Veeco Instruments’ MOCVD Operations, Bill Miller, stated that the company is happy that Elec-Tech has selected its MOCVD systems for their production facilities in China.
