New Position Sensing Array with Stray Light Elimination Feature

SiTek Electro Optics has expanded its PSDs (Position Sensing Detectors) range with the addition of a new PSD array. The Position Sensing Detector array is ideal for a number of applications such as moving objects measurements and 3D contour measurements.

SiTek PSD Array

The PSD array comprises 16 one-dimensional PSD elements fitted on a single chip. Through the triangulation approach, the reflection of multiple laser spots or a laser line on the PSD array offers information about the shape of the lighted object.

SiTek’s PSD array provides a quick response about individual element as well as a simultaneous readout of all the 16 parallel elements.

The gap between each element is reduced to provide high sensitivity, resulting in a fill factor of over  97%.. The PSD array features an advanced stray light elimination function that removes the reduction in linearity and speed produced by a stray light.

The Position Sensing Detector array is available in a 34-pin dual ceramic package and can be customized with any number and length of PSD elements.
