Advanced Laser Surgery Cures Varicose Veins

Surgeons at the Renaissance Laser and Vein Institute performed a breakthrough laser surgery that removed the varicose veins painlessly and effectively. Varicose veins, if unattended, can cause intense itching and aching and can often lead to fatigue.

The new procedure called the EVLT (Endovenous Laser Treatment) is carried out by inserting a needle and a laser catheter inside the varicose veins of the affected individual. The catheter emits laser pulsations, which heat the vein. This heat causes the vein to close up, disintegrate, and finally to be re-absorbed into the body. Within a span of 30 days, the varicose vein can be cured completely.

The EVLT procedure offers significant advantages when compared to the vein stripping technique. The procedure can reduce downtime and patients can continue normal activities after the treatment. In addition, the treatment offers permanent results and reduces infection. The EVLT procedure has a success rate of 98%.
