Laser Marking Technologies, developer of advanced fiber laser marking systems, has displayed a new laser marking system, the COBALT DOMINATOR, at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) 2010 in Chicago.
The COBALT DOMINATOR includes a pulsed fiber laser for clean, accurate and fast permanent part marking. The laser source can save significant energy consumption as mush as 300% compared to Yttrium aluminium garnet (YAG). The pulsed laser source does not require chiller and routine maintenance.
The table¬-top module is compact and portable and occupies less floor space. It has a footprint of 24, 28 and 26.5 in width, depth and height, respectively. The laser marking system includes a 160 FL lens, a LMT digital scan head, a 160 field lens max work piece and a 10 W laser power, which is supplied by an Ytterbium fiber laser. The system requires 110 V and 15 A and offers 1064 nm wavelength.
The COBALT DOMINATOR includes an instructional PDF, a software and a PC.
