Laser Cutting Machine is offered with RF-excited source

At FABTECH 2007, TRUMPF will introduce the TruCoax 3200 laser resonator, the latest beam source addition to the TruLaser 2030 family of machines. Known for its high beam quality and low cost of operation, the TruCoax 3200 has been designed specifically for use with the TruLaser 2030 laser cutting machine.

The new higher power resonator increases productivity with the same stable, no moving parts design and features a diffusion cooled, highly intense cutting beam in an ultra compact footprint. The RF excited TruCoax 3200 has increased cutting speeds up to 100% in certain materials compared to the TruCoax 2000 and is comparable to 4 kW resonators in thin materials.

"The additional power offered with the TruCoax 3200 creates the perfect job shop machine for sheet metal processing," says James Rogowski, product manager, 2D lasers for TRUMPF Inc. "The ability to cut extremely fast, coupled with a proven, reliable automatic load and unload system all in a small footprint, will make this the machine that sheet metal fabricators will come to rely on for day-to-day processing."

The TruCoax 3200 laser resonator is available on the TruLaser 2030 laser cutting machine. Key features of the TruLaser 2030 include a moving safety enclosure that provides safe operation with easy access to the processing area. The machine is available in 48" X 96", 48" X 120" and 60" X 120" working areas, allowing fabricators to use the material size that best fits their needs. The standard automation components are expandable with material carts, which increase flexibility and reduce processing time in unmanned operation.
