Demand for WDM Equipment in Metro Applications Reaches New Levels

In a recently published report from Dell'Oro Group, the trusted source for market information about the telecommunications, networks, and data center IT industries, the total wavelength division multiplexer (WDM) equipment market grew 23 percent sequentially in the second quarter 2015. During this period, WDM Metro equipment used mainly in metro and regional applications grew at a rate slightly higher than that of DWDM Long Haul, attaining a new record quarterly revenue level of $1.4 billion.
