Leica Microsystems introduces the new integrated Confocal Fixed Stage Microscope Leica DM6000 CFS for physiology and electrophysiology applications.
The system integrates the ergonomic and stable fixed stage microscope Leica DM6000 CFS, short coupled non-descanned detectors, application specific optics and remote control with the most sensitive and fast confocal scanning system Leica TCS SP5.
The system runs optionally with either a high precision single objective adapter or a 6x objective nosepiece which is best suited for electrophysiological experiments as well as for multi-user environments. A special camera tube with the parfocal magnification changer allows a total magnification up to factor 12 without changing the objective.
The external Smart Touch Panel Leica STP6000 is a quick and easy way of operating all the microscope controls without causing any vibration of the microscope which could interfere with the measurements.
Leica HCX APO L 20x 1.0 W offers a large field of view and high resolution. With its steep access angle of 39 degrees and a 2 mm working distance, the objective is ideal for approaching and positioning needles for manipulation.
Ultra high photon collection efficiency is achieved by the direct coupling of reflected light detectors behind the objective and transmitted light detectors behind the condenser. A specially adapted gradient contrast allows the direct overlay of highly contrasted IR images in transmission and fluorescence.
The online data evaluation of electrophysiological signals with the Leica software LAS AF ensures precise correlation with imaging data. This allows immediate validation of recorded data and quick modification of external parameters for best results.
