Rising quality expectations combined with faster running manufacturing processes pose challenges for industries from automotive assembly to semiconductor fabrication. To help detect the smallest imperfections, Mikrotron, a brand of SVS-Vistek, has introduced its EoSens 10C-CX12-FM 10-megapixel CMOS color camera boasting 4608 x 2176 resolution and speeds up to 478 frames-per-second. This industrial-grade camera is protected within a hardened IP30 metal housing measuring only 80 x 80 x 92.9 mm that is resistant to shock and mechanical vibration.
Accuracy and speed go hand in hand when it comes to the EoSens 10C-CX12-FM. Integrating the CoaXPress 2.0 interface, the camera facilitates data transmission rates up to 12.5 Gb/sec per channel. By scaling up to 4 lanes with multiple cables, a total bandwidth of 50 Gb/sec can be achieved. Extended cable length is supported as far as 40 meters (130 feet), while Power over CoaXPress (PoCXP) eliminates the needs for a separate power cable. CoaXPress 2.0 also doubled uplink speed to 40 Mbps, enabling trigger rates over 500 kHz without requiring a dedicated high-speed uplink cable.
Along with industrial use cases, the camera has the versatility for scientific, medical, aerospace, and transportation applications. Its broad feature set expands possibilities by offering easily configured AOI, binning, shading correction, multiple trigger modes, and defect pixel correction, along with an ambient temperature range from -10° to 65 °C.
