China-based Telecom OEM Places Follow-on 100G Orders with Advanced Photonix

Picometrix®, LLC, an Advanced Photonix® company, announced today that it has received follow on orders from a leading China provider of telecommunications equipment and networks solutions to supply the CR-100D for their 100G optical transport network equipment. These orders total approximately $700K to be delivered over the next three months.

"This is a continuation of growing demand from our China based telecom OEM customer with demand on track to exceed our original estimate of $2M over the current fiscal year," commented Robin (Rob) Risser, General Manager of Picometrix and COO of API. "We are seeing wide spread customer deployment of 100G in the long haul and metro markets and are significantly increasing our capacity to support our customers growing demand."

The Company's product offering includes 10G, 40G and 100G client-side and line-side optical receivers targeted at the long-haul and metro markets, and photodiodes targeted at the high volume enterprise and fiber-to-the-home (FTTx) markets.
