Vuzix to Showcase M100 Smart Glasses at AT&T Developer Summit 2014

Vuzix® Corporation, a leading supplier of Video Eyewear and Smart Glasses products in the enterprise and consumer markets, today announced it will be showcasing the award-winning M100 smart glasses during the AT&T Developer Summit Hackathon, to be held January 6, 2014 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The AT&T Summit Hackathon sponsorship complements Vuzix' entry into the market with the M100 smart glasses/wearable computer. Vuzix began shipments of M100 units to developers and enterprise customers earlier this month. As a sponsor of the event, Vuzix will be providing two of its M100 smart glasses as main prizes and will be promoted on various social media platforms surrounding the event.

"As one of the first commercially available smart glasses on the market, we are pleased that AT&T has invited us to participate as a sponsor for this year's developer summit," said Paul Travers, CEO Vuzix. "Our M100 smart glasses have been designed and packaged to enable application development to solve real world problems and as such we are thrilled to be working with AT&T Summit to bring visibility to this award-winning product. This year's Summit will be focused on wearable technologies, making this the most appropriate audience to support our products and develop best in class applications for wearable computing devices".

The Vuzix M100 smart glasses is a wearable computer that contains a virtual display with integrated camera and powerful processing engine, running the Android® OS, to wirelessly connect via Bluetooth or WiFi to your smartphone or other compatible device. Designed to run applications in standalone operation or connected to the internet, the Vuzix M100 also works in harmony with your smartphone to open a plethora of existing and future applications. These include enterprise applications where the M100 plays a practical role in a wide variety of situations, ranging from warehousing, airports, hospitals and more. Development tools and resources are available through the Vuzix Developer Site.
