North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA today announced that the company has won eight Awards For Design Excellence (ADEX) from Design Journal for a wide range of traditional and solid state lighting technologies.
Commissioned annually by Design Journal, an international trade publication for interior designers, architects and facility managers, ADEX is considered one of the largest architecture and design award competitions in the industry, recognizing winning entrants at Platinum, Gold and Silver award levels.
Six products earned platinum-level ADEX distinction including the OSRAM LINEARlight FLEX® Advanced LED Linear Modules, the SYLVANIA ULTRA RT6 Gimbal LED Recessed Downlight Kit, the EMerge Alliance® Registered Version of OSRAM RLC22 LED 2'x2' Luminaire, the QUICKTRONIC® POWERSENSE® T5HO, the ProPoint™ Industrial Linear LED Luminaire and OCTRON® 800 XP® XL ECOLOGIC®3 Lamps. The SYLVANIA ULTRA HO PAR38 LED Lamp was awarded gold-level status and the LINEARlight FLEX® POWER FLEX LED Linear Modules earned silver.

An anonymous panel of professionals and specifiers representing a cross section of their respective design industries conducted all judging and voting for the ADEX competition, awarding points that determined Platinum, Gold or Silver award status. Points were awarded in a variety of sub-categories and a minimum number of points were necessary to qualify at each level.
