Metal core LumiBright BD Boards are designed to offer high output optical power, superior thermal management, large emitting area and open platform flexibility, providing completely innovative and compact LED design solutions.

Chip-on-board LED technology having PCB substrates with metallic core is used by the LumiBright BD Boards featuring a large emitting area from a tightly aligned array of standard LED chips. The size, number and chip arrangement in the array can be set to fill the entrance aperture of light pipes, non-imaging concentrators and fiber optics arranged closely for maximum light collection, and for producing rectangular or round illumination patterns or exit apertures for relay using secondary optics. It is possible to populate LumiBright BD Boards as multiple die arrays in sixteen, three and single color LED ad user-specific combinations from the standard selection of 26 die offering wavelength choices ranging from the ultraviolet to the near infrared as well as broadband white.

Customizable and multiple configurations are offered, which are compact enough to fit into light sources and OEM illuminators. The boards can function for over 50,000 h continuously. An optional photosensor and an on-board thermistor allow real-time temperature monitoring and light intensity for closed loop control. It is possible to use surface mount cable connectors or soldered wire leads as standard fixtures. The accessories of LumiBright BD Board include wire harnesses, thermal management devices and controllers/driver.
