Canon Australia has declared that the renowned PowerShot G-series has been supplemented with the novel PowerShot G1X. It is currently being showcased at the Canon booth in the CES 2012 held at Las Vegas.
The PowerShot G1X achieves the exquisite background blur and other effects that are combined with DSLR photography, emphasizing the theme of the photo. A new level of colour definition is generated by the new DiG!C 5 image processor. It integrates with new large-area 1.5 type CMOS sensor, optimized to yield clear pictures in a dark background. Additionally, sports shooting in dim environments is facilitated through the maximum 1/4000 shutter speed associated with light sensitivity of ISO 12800. It also features full HD (1080p) digital video recordings. The 6-blade iris diaphragm and large sensor of G1X join together to generate a creative background blur to static and motion pictures. With an aesthetic expression, the PowerShot G1X is compatible with a wide array of Canon EOS-based DSLR components such as remote switches, brackets, speedlites, and lens filters.
