The VITRONIC PoliScanspeed is a laser based speed enforcement solution that is being used in many countries around the globe. Over 220 PoliScanspeed systems are at present being utilized in countries belonging to the Gulf Cooperation Council. Utilization of this technology has led to successful speed enforcement in Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The Saudi Aramco, the Abu Dhabi Police and the Dubai Police are well-known users of the PoliScanspeed LIDAR system.

The PoliScanspeed helps users reach high enforcement rates. It can perform well in road work areas, curved roads and in busy multi-lane roads. The implementation of the PoliScanspeed system helps improve the behavior of vehicle drivers and can also lead to reduction in injuries and death due to accidents. The number of road accidents in Dubai has declined by 27% within a year. This has led to the nomination of VITRONIC for Gulf Traffic Award under the “Changing Driver Behavior” category.

The VITRONIC PoliScanredlight system is a non-invasive laser-based red light enforcement system. It automatically starts monitoring the stop lines whenever the traffic signal lights changes to red color. If any violation occurs, it takes a picture of the vehicle as it crosses the line and another picture at the intersection. Both the PoliScanspeed and PoliScanredlight systems can be combined as the PoliScanred+speedsystem. The pictures of the vehicles are captured even if the vehicles switch lanes or tailgate. The Federal German state authority PTB has provided type approval for the red light enforcement system.

The VITRONIC PoliScansurveillance is an automated license plate recognition (ALPR) system. It has the capability to identify colors on license plates and classify vehicles. It can recognize license plates even at very high speeds.
