The Pittsburgh Conference announced its annual Call for Topics for Conferee Networking Sessions for Pittcon 2012, which will be held March 11-15, 2012, in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center. For full consideration, topics must be received by July 29, 2011.
Suggestions for topics and facilitators may only be submitted electronically through the Conferee Networking section of the Pittcon website. The Pittcon Conferee Networking Committee will review the submitted topics, and selections will be completed by late August. Final session topics will be posted to the Pittcon website in October.
Conferee Networking Sessions, free to all registered attendees, provide an informal venue for a small group of 15 to 25 participants to openly discuss topics of mutual interest or solve problems specific to certain instrumentation or procedures.
There will be approximately 30 different facilitated Networking Sessions during Conference week. Topics and techniques for Conferee Networking Sessions in the past have included, but not limited to the following:

- Chemical Methods
- Data Analysis and Manipulation
- Electrochemistry
- Environmental
- High-Energy Spectroscopy
- Laboratory Informatics
- Laboratory procedures including safety and standardization

- Mass Spectrometry
- Near Infrared
- Process Analytical Techniques
- Sensors
- Surface Analysis/Imaging
- Thermal Analysis
